A little about me..

I think first and foremost I’m my husband’s wife. My world and life revolves around “us” and I enjoy it that way. He’s my best friend and my partner through everything, good and bad.

I’m my kids’ mom. Some days I ask Paul, “Do I have to be mom today?” But those hard times are infrequent and quickly pass so it’s not so bad.  I wouldn’t trade any of them for the world. They’re 3 of the most awesome people I know.

I’m a “good little Mormon girl”. I have a humbling position in the ward (primary president) and I work at it. My faith has gotten me through many difficult times with hope and peace. I support my husband in his position in the ward and respect him in the very hard work he does and as the leader of our family.

And of course, there’s the part of me that’s always been me…sarcastic, blunt at times, very silly and crazy around the right crowd. I love working out at the gym; jogging and running are the best!! But I also really enjoy spin and weight training. With 3 kids, I need that time for me (so I don’t go crazy! 😛 ) and I’m determined not to be one of those people that “just never lost the baby weight”. I’m certainly no supermodel, but I’m not going to be part of the 2/3 of America that’s considered overweight either. I’m no statistic.

Hobbies include….ummm….I know I used to have some…well, they used to include camping, fishing, drawing and reading. Mostly, now, it’s figuring how to cook dinner every night and make it healthy and taste good. I try not to cook the same meal twice in a month. That would be entirely too repetitive! I figure if I’m going to eat, it might as well taste good, be interesting and keep me from gaining 10 lbs. in any one sitting. Luckily the kids are used to this and will eat pretty much anything I put in front of them.

That’s pretty much it. I like life simple and happy and do my best to keep it both ways.
