I’ve obviously been neglecting this blog lately. I apologize. Life has actually been pretty quiet and uneventful so I’ve just sat back and enjoyed the brief pause and taken full advantage of it.
This month (May) will be a full one. Gab has quite a few school events going on….2 field days and 2 field trips.
Paul’s birthday is at the end so we have that to plan.
And of course there’s Mother’s Day. We’re planning on going to the National Zoo in D.C. on Saturday before. I figured that would be a good day with the kiddos.
Normally I’m not a jealous person. But yesterday Paul came home and gave me some news I just about died over.
He gets to go to Dallas for 5 days in the beginning of June. I grew up 45 minutes north of D/FW and haven’t been back in 10 years. And want to very badly. But unfortunately I won’t be able to go with him. We just can’t afford 2 vacations. So I’ll sit home and pout while he’s gone and hope he brings me a t-shirt at least. *sigh*
My Dh grew up in the Howe/Dennison Texas area.
May is a brutal month for us as well, Anniversary, Mother’s Day, Jake’s Birthday, and now possibly a move at the end of the month if we like the house we are looking at tonight.
Enjoy your down time! I have been to the National Zoo since I was a teen. I grew up in the Richmond, VA area.

I’m sorry you won’t be able to go. That blows. Incidentally, I think I’ll be in the DFW area around that same time. My husband’s from Arlington. Then we’re going to NC to visit my folks. That upcoming vacation is loooong overdue.

I think May is busy for everyone with school age kids. The schools try to cram everything into the last month. I am sorry you don’t get to join in the Dallas trip. Maybe next time.
